Working with the Best Corporate Communications team in Africa- Some useful experience

Developing your career in Ghana can be very challenging especially if you don’t meet the right people who will nurture you to make an informed decision and most importantly set you on a very fulfilling career path. Fortunate enough, I had the rare opportunity to working with one of the best Corporate Communications Team in Africa. In that team, no one was a junior. We recognized everyone as “managers and directors” though there were hierarchies. Equal support and equal respect were common. It was a team that openly discuss personal life experience to professional experience to inspire all. Fitting into that team was easy and welcoming. Tigo Corporate Communication team is an embodiment of a strong corporate engine that strive on projects brewed from ideas of every single member of the team. Why Companies need to strengthen their Internal Communications to enhance employee engagement

It is said that Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin has an interesting formula; a formula which makes Virgin one of the most popular brands in the world. His formula is that always put the employee first because “Happy employees equal happy customers”. Similarly, he is said to believe in the fact that an unhappy employee can ruin the brand experience for not just one, but numerous customers and ensures that his employees are well taken care of, by going as far as to collect feedback by walking around the cabin and talking directly to the staff during his Virgin flights.
