  President rescinds decision to stay off Job 600 issues. The acting president of Ghana and the speaker of parliament, Rt. Honorable, Edward Doe Adjaho have withdrawn his decision on not getting involved in the issues relating to the completion of the Job 600 project. This was disclosed by the director of Public Affairs in Parliament, Jones Kugblenu. According to him the Speaker of Parliament’s outburst in Parliament on Wednesday was because “when he became Speaker of Parliament, he took certain steps to ensure that there is value for money in every aspect of the project and so he thought that this should have been the last lap of the negotiations until a few issues cropped up.” He further indicated that Mr. Doe Adjaho has considered the “feeling of the House. “I think that he has rescinded that decision and has given the go ahead for the committee to look at the new emerging issues” he added. Prez Mahama to hold peace talk with two African leaders. The President, John Mahama will hold a sub-regional peace talks with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and Ivorian President Alassane Quatarra as part of the swearing-in ceremony of Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. The Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed indicated that the restoration and sustenance of peace is paramount to the president. He added “We all need to agree that democracy is the path we charter, therefore, I think that at a point in time, such discussions are important if we want to have a stable continent”. He said the government has pledged to support moves and initiatives to maintain peace and stability in Africa. The president left Accra on Thursday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the West African country’s leader.
