DVLA to tack down drivers and accident with new computer based test.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) Rudolph Beckley has disclosed that the DVLA has introduced a computer based test to put prospective drivers seeking for licenses under scrutiny.
This system is in connection with the authority’s effort to reduce road accident in the country.

He narrated that the computer based test began in March 2012 and all the institutions in the country have deployed the computer aided examination process and the results are encouraging.

Mr. Beckley said the authority will soon bar any rickety vehicle from plying the roads in order to ensure sanity on the roads.
He added that the system was a mechanism that was created to eliminating drivers who lacked the demonstrable competences that would ensure safety on the roads.

The Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service in its report revealed that over 1,323 road users in the country were killed in road accidents between January and August this year.
