Prez Mahama to hold peace talk with two African leaders.

President Mahama 07.12The President, John Mahama will hold a sub-regional peace talks with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and Ivorian President Alassane Quatarra as part of the swearing-in ceremony of Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

The Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed indicated that the restoration and sustenance of peace is paramount to the president.

He added “We all need to agree that democracy is the path we charter, therefore, I think that at a point in time, such discussions are important if we want to have a stable continent”.

He said the government has pledged to support moves and initiatives to maintain peace and stability in Africa.

The president left Accra on Thursday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the West African country’s leader.
