CLOGSAG call off strike

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has officially called off its nationwide strike action over an unpaid and Top Up premium.

The strike action was called off on Wednesday, following the intervention of the National Tripartite Committee, which resulted in the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU will allow for amicable settlement of the impasse on payment of Top Up/premium to members of CLOGSAG.

The statement signed by the Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Isaac Bampo Addo, indicated that the decision was taken at an Emergency National Council meeting held at the National Secretariat of CLOGSAG on Tuesday.

The statement added “We take this opportunity to acknowledge the immense support of the industrial action by the entire CLOGSAG fraternity. We sincerely appreciate your tenacity of purpose, endurance of threats with which you embraced and participated in this all important endeavour”
