 A circuit, presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng at Tarkwa has sentenced an 
 illegal miner to 30 years imprisonment in hard labour for defiling two girls between the ages of six and eight at Nsueam in the Western Region.

The culprit, Kojo Poku, 47- year-old pleaded not guilty to the crime.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Florence Tawiah told the court that on September 9 the two girls were playing when Poku lured them into his room and defiled them.

Chief Inspector Tawiah said when the parents of the girls got to know of the crime they reported it to the Police and Poku was arrested.
