NPP is “inconsistent” – Amaliba

A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba has described the New Patriotic Party’s decision to seek the help of the Electoral commission (EC) in the national delegates’ conference in Tamale as hypocrisy

According to him the NPP after attempt to discrediting the EC in an alleged vote rigging in the 2012 general election has no moral right to invite the commission to supervise their election, saying “the NPP discredited and they tried to as it were, lower the reputation of the EC in the eyes of Ghanaians.”

He said this clearly indicated that the NPP is “inconsistent” in that when it suits them, the EC can come and supervise their elections but when it doesn’t suit them, they say the EC lacks credibility.”
